Founded by the Sisters of Mercy in 1846, ÃÛÌÒAPP is Chicago's first Catholic university. My heart is full with gratitude for our incredible students, faculty, staff, alumni and friends who join with us in celebrating 175 years of Saint Xavier.

We are stewards of the extraordinary legacy of Mercy educational excellence. I am proud of our efforts to build a more resilient institution that remains mission-focused as it educates graduates who serve the common good by building meaningful lives and careers.

ÃÛÌÒAPP biology and psychology student Eniola Oyefeso is one of four students who have been awarded a research grant from the Beta Beta Beta Research Foundation for her research on red-sided garter snakes. Read more.
