Dear Students,
You are receiving this email because you may be eligible for a COVID-19 Emergency Grant through the U.S. Department of Education's
CARES Act.
Because funding is limited, awards will be made on a first-come, first-served basis.
In order to request these funds, please complete the immediately. Applications will be accepted through November 1, 2020 or until funds
run out, whichever is sooner.
Undergraduate students who are enrolled in the fall 2020 semester may be eligible
to receive an emergency grant if they:
- Filed the FAFSA for 2020-2021 and have met the eligibility requirements for receiving
federal student aid; and
- Are enrolled in an in-person, degree-seeking program (please note a program designed
to be in-person may now contain online or hybrid elements).
The grants, per the U.S. Department of Education, may be used to cover expenses such
as food, housing, course materials, technology, health care, and child care incurred
due to the disruption of campus operations.
Complete the to request a grant. Eligible undergraduate students who completed the certification form previously are
required to complete a new certification form for this round of funding. Your certification will be reviewed to ensure compliance with all eligibility requirements
prior to releasing funds. The Office of Financial Aid will contact you with any questions.
While we review your eligibility, please go to the portal and confirm that your mailing
address and banking information for direct deposit are up to date. When possible,
payments will be made via direct deposit. Otherwise, checks will be cut and mailed
to the address on file.
Students who are eligible will receive the funds as soon as possible. We are processing
payments in batches, so funds should be sent within 14 business days of confirmation
of eligibility.
If you are deemed ineligible under the federal guidance provided by the U.S. Department
of Education, you will be notified by the Office of Financial Aid within 14 business
days of submitting the certification form.
