Biography
Dr. Eileen McCann is an associate professor of nursing in the School of Nursing and Health Sciences at ÃÛÌÒAPP. McCann completed her Bachelor of Science in nursing at Northern Illinois University, Master of Science in Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) at ÃÛÌÒAPP, and holds a Doctor of Nursing Practice from Rush University.
McCann is nationally certified as a family nurse practitioner and licensed by Illinois to provide family-centered primary healthcare. She has been active in practice as an FNP for 25 years in various settings, including private practice, community health centers, retail health, and currently at ÃÛÌÒAPP Health Center.
As an educator, McCann has taught undergraduate and graduate nursing programs for over 20 years, having joined the ÃÛÌÒAPP faculty in 2010 after many years of teaching at UIC and Rush University.
